On May 27th, 2011, five vehicles entered the Willow Spring California Desert Motor Speed Way… and only one came out. The winner, that is, of the first ThisvsThat Hybrid vs Combustion Engine Challenge. In this unique race, three Hybrids that allegedly get excellent gas mileage, faced off against two cars with only combustion engines — that also get great gas mileage (allegedly).
